Does “The Secret” Really Work
September 3, 2008
The Law of Attraction (LoA) basically states that you will attract into your life the things that your deep down core beliefs are in tune with. This is why what we get in life often seems so far removed from what we think we want.
Dave Gikandi has this to say about the LoA
“A lot of people have found the Law of Attraction to be powerful and effective for them. However, I have been approached by a few who claim it doesn’t work for them. There are also those who rightly observe that while it works, one must also take right action. In this video, I cover these and other related topics so that you can apply it extremely powerfully no matter who you are. It does work! But like anything else, using it well is a skill that is learned and improved upon. Enjoy!”

I don’t believe in any quantum justification for the Law of Attraction or in any magical part. That said, I do believe in the LoA for simpler reasons. The mind is a funny thing, you know? A total change of mind can come instantly and other times not at all.
I’ve noticed that as we cruise down the river of life if we think thoughts along the lines of, “Ok, I’m not going to hit that stump right there…” that we’ll hit it almost every time. Or… “Ok, I’m not going to be late for this, I’m not going to be late… Bah! I’m late again! How…?”
I’ve found that you have to focus your thoughts on where you want to go and what you want to do and maybe how you’re going to do it, but frequently when your head it in the right place the “how” will come to mind. I think we’ll miss most of the stumps that way. We’ll also start to notice that most of the stumps of life are of our own making.
So check out Dave’s video and see if it’s a good fit for you.
Joel, at Fearless Dreams, also has a few things to say on the Law of Attraction. Check it our here: Is there a Fatal Flaw in the Law of Attraction?

I believe the LOA can be misleading. This just thinking positive about something and it will come to you may be a bit off the mark. We still have to work and be of service to our creator.

Susan, I think you’re right on here. Thinking isn’t enough, knowledge isn’t power, it’s the doing that makes it all work.
