Thank you for an inspiring article … I DID enjoy it, especially connecting with the affirmation, ‘I am happy with myself’.
The only thing is, though …. I feel it is important to be affirming from the heart for these affirmations to strike a deeper chord and to manifest in our lives.
Otherwise they just stay in the head and remain a little empty and lose real impact. How many people do you know who tell you affirmations don’t work? The head tends to be ruled by fear, doubt and judgement and so may sabotage any efforts to be inspired. The heart has a natural affinity with inspiration. It only needs a moment for us to become still and to connect with heart and from there our affirmations become much more powerful and true.
I am happy with myself … m-mmm … nice

Hey,
I like that one. You’re absolutely right. There has to be emotional content to make these things work and they have to be believable. If you can’t wrap your head around any given affirmation it isn’t going to do anything for you.
