Blog marking expert, Jack Humphrey, has a few remarks regarding a Wired article (and Wired should know better:)

Well folks, it looks like this will be my last blog post ever. Apparently blogging is passe and I didn’t know it. I know this will come as a shock to the thousands of bloggers who read this and many other blogs, but it looks like we’ve come to the end of the road with blogging.

Paul Boutin, WIRED contributor, wrote “Thinking about launching your own blog? Here’s some friendly advice: Don’t. And if you’ve already got one, pull the plug.“  -”Twitter, Flickr, Facebook Make Blogs Look So 2004”

Blogging is Dead, According to Wired.com

I thought spring was here… We had a couple of eautiful sunny days and rain yesterday, which is cool. Then an inch of snow this morning. Sigh…

And in your part of the world?

One of the things I enjoy doing is putting up websites and blogs. I even make a little money through this practice.

So naturally, when someone comes up with a cool related product I’ll sometimes mention it for the benefit of those of you who have/want sites.

Since a number of you do have websites, and a few have more than one, this will be of interest to you.

In fact, if you have any interest in having a website and making some money with it, then you should look into this free video set.

A little background: The Internet Marketing Center, run by Derek Gehl, has been around a looong time. hey have a killer marketing course, which I have, and which I mentioned to some of you sometime back.

Their focus is on teaching people like us how to put up a website and bring in a little, or a lot, of extra money (oops, there goes the spam filter…)

Naturally there are many people who feel that the Derek Ghels of the world have something that they don’t, so their success is impossible to copy.

Some will even come out and say as much. So….

Here’s the link again…

It’s a nifty system for getting a bunch of links from authority sites to your sites. Some of the techniques in this book will get you a number of pagerank 3-5 (or better) links in a matter of minutes.

It can be abused, but I think the system will be somewhat self-correcting and the author shows how to grow your own network of these high page rank, one way, backlinks.

Oh yeah, these aren’t reciprocal links, or comment spam.
